At the Placer SPCA it is our goal to
place each animal in a loving, permanent
home.
To be certain that you and your family
are ready to add a new furry family
member to your household, click

"Is this the Best time to Adopt
a Pet?"
If you see an animal you would like to
adopt, please visit us during our normal
shelter hours. It is also helpful to review
our
adoption process and
pricing information before you come in!
Agility
All Stars! At the Placer SPCA we do our best
to keep our animals happy and healthy.
We take pride in our programs, which
encourage the best possible match
between adopters and family companions.
We consistently receive requests from
potential adopters for dogs with training.
Since many of the dogs we receive
are young and energetic, and often
untrained, we developed a program
that combines obedience and agility
training. The "Placer SPCA All
Stars" is a program that helps
alleviates stress, boredom and depression
while increasing our dogs’ chances
of adoptability.
Many thanks to all of our wonderful
volunteers, staff members and donors for
making this program possible!
We'd love for you to visit us so we can show
you how our All-Stars shine!
Companion Requests
If you are interested in a specific breed or
type of animal, you may want to consider
making a companion request. Simply fill out
the matchmaker questionnaire and identify the type of animal you are interested in –
and we will keep your paperwork on file for
three months. Should an animal come in that
matches your companion request, we will
contact you. Please note: Just because you
make a companion request does not guarantee
you will be able to adopt that animal. You
will still need to adhere to all of the
adoption guidelines so we can ensure a
successful adoption.

Special Pricing for Kittens: Most kittens are currently $75 for one or $100 for two! Black kittens are FREE.
At the Placer SPCA, we have seen the busiest kitten season in memory, and we currently have approximately 190 kittens in foster care, plus plenty on the adoption floor.
Love Knows No Color
Consider a black kitten! In addition to all adult cats Free to GREAT Homes, the adoption fee will be waived for all black kittens until further notice. These little beauties are the last to be adopted - but once you get to know them you'll see they are not all the same. Black is always in fashion, and a short visit with one of these mysterious kittens will reveal their true personality.
We are still seeking volunteers who can foster kittens as well as donations of formula, kitten food, and monetary gifts to help us care for the homeless animals who come to us. Donate online.
