What motivated you to volunteer at the Placer SPCA Auburn?
What motivated us was we had adopted a dog from the Auburn facility, the employee that helped us was very friendly (Jacque). The facility was so clean and welcoming that we wanted to volunteer our time here in particular.
What do you like best about volunteering?
We feel really helpful coming in in the morning and assisting with cleaning, because we know that this helps a great deal. We love spending time with the cats and getting to know their personalities. We like playing with them and we especially like giving them affection. By volunteering at the Placer SPCA, we feel that we are doing our part in helping the community, which makes us feel good.
What do you like best about the Placer SPCA?The facilities are always so clean and welcoming, and the staff goes above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. We don’t get a bad feeling walking into the Auburn Adoption and Resource Center like we do at some other shelters. We weren’t rushed when we adopted our dog from here, the employee was very patient and answered all of our questions fully and completely. We felt no pressure and walked out incredibly happy. The Placer SPCA has such a positive vibe and we know our next animal will come from here!
How many animals do you have at home?Just one, Guinness, a 5 and a half year old black toy poodle. We adopted him from Placer SPCA in Auburn on New Year's Eve 2012.
