| The dogs listed below are
currently available for adoption.
If you are interested in adopting one of these dogs,
please visit the Placer SPCA in person.
There is nothing like 15 to 30 minutes spent
with one of the dogs to help you get to know
his or her individual personality, and our staff and volunteer adoption counselors can give you additional information and advice.
When you are ready to adopt, please review our Adoption Process.
For questions about a specific dog, call us at
(916) 782-SPCA (7722) or (530) 885-PETS (7387)
with the animal number and name. Use ext. 258 for the Behavior Helpline or ext. 100 for Customer Care.
Agility
All Stars! At the Placer SPCA we do our best
to keep our animals happy and healthy.
We take pride in our programs, which
encourage the best possible match
between adopters and family companions.
We consistently receive requests from
potential adopters for dogs with training.
Since many of the dogs we receive
are young and energetic, and often
untrained, we developed a program
that combines obedience and agility
training. The "Placer SPCA All
Stars" is a program that helps
alleviates stress, boredom, and depression
while increasing our dogs’ chances
of adoptability.
Looking for a specific breed? Complete a Matchmaker/Companion Request Form. Did you know an average of 25% of all dogs in animal shelters are purebreeds? With patience, you are sure to find the perfect dog for you! We get all breeds and sizes! Take a look at the animals who have been adopted in the last week.
