Placer SPCA is a private, non-profit organization serving Placer County residents and their companion animals.  We are not affiliated with the ASPCA (New York shelter) or Placer County Animal Shelter, which has a shelter facility located in Auburn and is a government agency funded by tax dollars.

The Placer SPCA is not an animal control enforcement agency.  If you have any questions or need information regarding animal control or municipal animal services, including licensing your pets,  please contact your local animal control agency.  We have provided links* to area animal control agencies to better help you.
