Our Humane Education program provides free age appropriate presentations for school children, youth groups, churches and other community and business organizations throughout Placer County. You may pick a program from the following list or we will work with you to prepare a presentation that is appropriate for your group.  All presentations are designed to meet the California education requirement to teach kindness toward domestic pets and the humane treatment of living creatures.

	Basic pet care and keeping our pets healthy, happy, and safe
	Why animals end up in shelters or are mistreated
	What we do at the Placer SPCA to help animals and the community
	Recognizing neglect/abuse and what to do about it
	What is positive reinforcement training and how can we use it to train our pets
	Habitat lesson - the difference between domestic and wild animals
	Careers in animal welfare
	Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle to help animals
