Spay & Neuter Assistance (SNAP)

Our Spay/Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP) provides financial aid and advice to Placer County pet owners who need help with altering their animals. The program is funded by the generosity of donors and through foundations and other grantors who share our goal of bringing an end to pet overpopulation.  Click here to donate to this program.

We are fortunate to have several veterinary clinics and hospitals throughout Placer County supporting our program by performing the spay/neuter surgeries at a reduced cost. This enables our funds to go further allowing us to serve more people and their pets!   If you need assistance with spaying or neutering your pet, click on the flyer below, or call (916) 782-7722 x. 201 or (530) 885-7387 x. 201 to learn about our SNAP program and request a voucher.

The Placer SPCA would like to thank the veterinary clinics that participate in the SNAP program. These clinics support the efforts of the Placer SPCA by accepting reduced fees for spaying and neutering for clients using a SNAP voucher. View a list of participating clinics.

NOTE:
Due to high demand and budget constraints, until further notice SNAP vouchers will temporarily only be issued for cats, rabbits, and dogs that are pitbull or pitbull mixes. For other low-cost spay and neuter services, visit www.neuterspay.org.

Spay/Neuter assistance for pitbull and pitbull mix dogs: $25
You must be a Placer County resident. Complete a voucher application and indicate "pitbull" or "pitbull mix" as the breed type for your dog to receive your voucher for a reduced cost spay/neuter at a participating veterinary clinic.
