Spay & Neuter Assistance (SNAP)
Our Spay/Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP)
provides financial aid and advice to Placer
County pet owners who need help with
altering their animals. The program is
funded by the generosity of donors and
through foundations and other grants who
share our goal of bringing an end to pet
overpopulation.

We are fortunate to have several veterinary
clinics and hospitals throughout Placer
County supporting our program by performing
the spay/neuter surgeries at a reduced cost.
This enables our funds to go further
allowing us to serve more people and their
pets! If you need assistance
with spaying or neutering your pet, click on
the flyer below, or call (916) 782-7722 x. 201 to
learn about our SNAP voucher program.
Foster Parenting
Before they can find their permanent loving
home, some of our animals need temporary
homes – or foster homes. The Placer SPCA’s
foster parenting program affords those
animals in need – kittens too small that
need extra care or are too young and unable
to be altered, dogs recovering from surgery
or other special medical treatment, critters
in need of some TLC and socialization – a
temporary home so they can receive some
special love and care before they are put up
for adoption.
The Placer SPCA offers a foster orientation
class every month to help familiarize you
with the fostering process. Please email
animalcare@placerspca.org or call
782-7722 x. 114 for more information on how
you can become a Placer SPCA foster parent.
